Explore trends
The Trends page gives you a real-time view of what is trending worldwide, powered by hundreds of sources monitoring news, social media, academic papers, government data, and more across 50 countries. This guide explains how to navigate, filter, and act on trends.
The trends page
Open Trends from the sidebar to see the main trends feed. Each trend is displayed as a card showing:
- Title -- The trend name, often a headline or topic phrase.
- Score -- A number from 0 to 100 representing overall strength.
- Lifecycle badge -- A colored indicator showing the trend's current stage:
- Blue: Emerging -- Just detected, low volume, early signal.
- Green: Growing -- Gaining momentum, increasing sources and coverage.
- Orange: Peaking -- At maximum intensity, highest media attention.
- Yellow: Saturating -- Still active but growth has stalled.
- Gray: Declining -- Losing momentum, coverage is dropping.
- Source count -- How many distinct sources are reporting on this trend.
- Top sources -- The most prominent platforms contributing data.
Filters
Use the filter bar at the top of the trends page to narrow results.
- Country -- Select from 50 countries (US, UK, France, Germany, Japan, China, India, Brazil, South Korea, Australia, and 40 more). Shows trends relevant to the selected region.
- Category -- Filter by one of 22 categories: Technology, AI, Science, Health, Business, Crypto, Sports, Entertainment, Politics, Weather, Disaster, Culture, Environment, Investigation, and others.
- Language -- Filter by any of the 28 supported languages (en, fr, es, de, it, pt, ja, ko, zh, ru, ar, hi, and more).
- Sort -- Order results by score (default), velocity, recency, or volume.
Filters combine with AND logic. Selecting "US" + "Technology" shows only technology trends detected in the United States.
