Manage sites
Sites are independent content workspaces within your organization. Each site has its own categories, countries, languages, API keys, CMS connections, style guide, briefs, and published articles. The multi-site architecture lets you run multiple publications from a single IANews account.
Your default site
When you complete the onboarding wizard, IANews automatically creates your first site with the preferences you selected (countries, categories, languages). This default site is ready to use immediately.
Create a new site
Open the sites page
Navigate to Sites in the sidebar (or go to /sites/).
Start creation
Click the "New Site" button in the top-right corner.
Configure the site
Fill in the site details:
- Name -- A display name for the site (e.g., "TechPulse", "HealthWatch", "SportsBeat")
- Categories -- Select which of the 22 available categories this site covers (technology, health, sports, finance, etc.)
- Countries -- Choose which of the 50 monitored countries provide trend data for this site
- Languages -- Pick the output languages for articles (28 languages supported)
- Default tone -- Set the default article generation tone (neutral, analytical, casual, formal, journalistic)
- Auto-publish -- Toggle whether articles from scheduled briefs are automatically published
Save
Click "Create Site". The new site appears in your sites list and is ready for content creation.
Edit a site
- Navigate to Sites and click on the site you want to modify.
- Update any settings -- name, categories, countries, languages, or other options.
- Click Save.
Changes apply to all future articles and briefs. Existing content is not affected.
Delete a site
- Navigate to Sites and click on the site you want to remove.
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Site".
- Type the site name to confirm, then click Delete.
Deleting a site is irreversible. It permanently removes all associated articles, briefs, publishing connections, API keys, and style guide settings. Export any content you want to keep before deleting.
